Spotlight On: The Tony Awards 2011

The QuOD congratulates the out nominees of the 65th Annual Tony Awards! Winners will be announced live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City on CBS June 12. Neil Patrick Harris will return to host the program for a second time.

- Douglas Carter Beane, Best Book of a Musical nominee for Sister Act.
- Brian Bedford, Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play nominee for The Importance of Being Earnest.
- Colman Domingo, Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical nominee for The Scottsboro Boys.
- Eve Ensler, Isabelle Stevenson Award winner.
- John Benjamin Hickey, Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role winner in a Play for The Normal Heart.
- John Kander & Fred Ebb, Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre nominee for The Scottsboro Boys.


- Larry Kramer, author of Best Revival of a Play winner The Normal Heart.
- Joe Mantello, Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play nominee for The Normal Heart.
- Neil Meron and Craig Zadan, co-producers of Best Revival of a Musical nominee How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
- Casey Nicholaw, Best Direction of a Musical winner and Best Choreography nominee for The Book of Mormon.
- Rory O’Malley, Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical nominee for The Book of Mormon.
- Scott Pask, Best Scenic Design of a Musical winner for The Book of Mormon.


- Cole Porter, composer of Best Revival of a Musical winner Anything Goes.
- Scott Rudin, co-producer of Best Play nominees Jerusalem and The Motherf**ker with the Hat and Best Musical winner The Book of Mormon.
- Marc Shaiman, Best Orchestrations nominee for Catch Me If You Can.
